James has built a very strong reputation on the UK and international jazz scene as an innovator with a distinctive, ever thoughtful, challenging and imaginative voice on saxophones, basss clarinet and as a composer/leader over the last 25 years. It is a real treat to have him across to Bristol to showcase this band and their new material as part of their tour to launch their new album "Stars and Sand". James says about the project:
